Hong Kong furnishing and homeware brand, Inside, has launched its second store in the heart of the newly renovated Central Market as part of an expansion plan in the territory after 24 years of trading.

The new store is nestled inside the Grade 3 historic building, which has been transformed into a community spot intertwining traditional architecture with modern touches.

“This renovation truly is a success. The combination of a historic past with a modernistic twist resonates well with what Inside is,” says Eric Delplanque, GM of Inside.

Inside’s expansion plan will see the opening of its third store in Kowloon in the next few months, according to the company. The brand is renovating its 1,500sq ft warehouse in Wong Chuk Hang, where, besides product ranges, a series of exclusive events for VIP clients will be held. Scheduled to reopen next month, the warehouse will also have a photo studio, accommodating interior design and upcycling furniture workshops.

“With more time at home, their desire to enhance their interior comfort is significant,” the company said in a statement. “In other words, a beautiful opportunity for us to make an impact,” they continued.

Opening its first store in Repulse Bay in 1997, Inside is known for its handcrafted furniture and homeware products sourced around from talented artisans and independent brands from different parts of the world.
