The past two show days have been full of exciting events and opportunities for retail professionals to both grow their business and expand their knowledge. With speakers like Mrs. Anna Lin (GS/1), Mr. Chris Guo (Yi-Hao Dian) or Mr. Qusai Sarraf (IVIS Group UK) the C-star Retail Conference came to an end today and received high acclaim from its speakers and participants. While the first conference day focused on how to develop a physical store, the second conference day program featured contributions on how the online world encounters offline retailing. Will the emergence of e-commerce eventually imply the decline of physical retail? This vision was proved wrong at the end of the conference during the final panel discussion between Prof. Dr. Helmut Merkel, the conference chairman, and Mr. Wang Wei, Industry Advisor of Mall China. After a heated discussion the panelists concluded that online retail will complement physical stores in the future, rather than substituting them.

Also the onsite forum successfully ended today after being held during the first two show days and featured insightful presentations by C-star exhibitors on how they encountered  and overcame industry related challenges in their business.

So far, C-star featured a high degree of professionalism and certainly didn't lack glamour when the EuroShop Retail Design Award (ERDA) Reception Dinner kicked off at the rooftop bar of the Kerry Hotel Pudong. At this glamorous ceremony, which is held annually, Mr. Tony Zhou (Hershey's Shanghai), Mr. Jerzy Wozniak and Mr. Pawel Garus (Modelina Architekci) as well as Mr. Luigi Frenquellucci and Mr. Antonio Andolfato (Replay) were awarded for the best store concepts of 2015. The award ceremony ended with a frolic and relaxing rooftop party, where guests were able to conduct casual as well as business talks while enjoying the beautiful sunset above the roofs of Shanghai.
